I am not an attorney licensed to practice law in the State of Texas and therefore cannot provide legal advice or accept fees for legal services. A Notary Public is expressly prohibited from:
- Acting in the capacity of an attorney
- Providing legal advice or assistance in preparing legal documents
- Issuing identification cards
- Distributing or disclosing confidential information
- Performing any notarial act without the signer being physically present
For questions or concerns regarding the content, validity, or preparation of your documents, please consult your lender, title company, or a licensed attorney.
Services Fees
Notary Fees
In accordance with the Texas Secretary of State guidelines, and as outlined in Texas Government Code § 406.024, the following statutory notary fees apply:
- Protesting a Bill or Note (for non-acceptance or non-payment, register, and seal): $4.00
- Each Notice of Protest: $1.00
- Protesting in All Other Cases: $4.00
- Certificate and Seal to Protest: $4.00
- Acknowledgment or Proof of Deed/Instrument (including certificate and seal, first signature): $10.00
o Each additional signature: $1.00
- Administering Oath or Affirmation (with certificate and seal): $10.00
- Certificates Under Seal (not otherwise provided): $10.00
- Copies of Records and Papers in Notary’s Office: .................................. $1.00 per page
- Depositions of Witnesses: $1.00 per words
- Swearing a Witness to a Deposition (certificate, seal, and related business): $10.00
- All Other Notarial Acts (not otherwise provided): $10.00
- Each additional signature of the same individual: $1.00
*Travel fees apply separately and are not included in the statutory notary fee schedule.
Signing Agent Fees
The following fees are non-statutory and apply specifically to real estate closings and loan signings.
- Real Estate Loan Document Signings (Purchase | Refinance | HELOC): .............. $125 – $150
o Additional time beyond 2 hours: $25.00 per hour. o Mobile travel fees not included.
- Real Estate Loan Document Signings – Seller’s Portion: ................................ $75.00

Mobile Travel Fees
Mobile travel fees are non-statutory and apply in addition to notarial or signing agent services.
